The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has released the eligibility criteria for admissions to various Polytechnic courses for the 2026 academic session. Candidates aspiring to join these programs must ensure they meet the specific educational qualifications before applying.

Diploma Courses Eligibility

For a Diploma in Engineering, candidates need to have passed Class 10 with at least 35% marks, and 50% in PCM subjects.

Aspiring students for Diploma in Agriculture Engineering require Class 10 with Agriculture as a subject, along with 50% marks in PCM and Agriculture subjects.

Courses like Fashion Designing and Garments Technology, Home Science, Textile Design, and Textile Design (Printing) are open to candidates who have passed Class 10 with a minimum of 35% marks.

For Modern Officer Management and Secretarial Service, candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Hindi and English at both High School and Intermediate levels.

Those interested in Library and Information Science need to have passed their Class 10+2 (Intermediate) examination.

A Diploma in Pharmacy requires candidates to have passed Class 10+2 with a Science stream and at least 50% marks.

The Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering course is available for 10+2 passed candidates with 50% marks.

For Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (both general and Avionics), candidates must have passed Class 10+2 with PCM and secured 50% marks in Physics or Chemistry.

Lateral entry for Diploma in Engineering is for candidates who have cleared Class 10+2 with Science or Class 10 with an ITI certificate.

Post Graduate Diploma Courses Eligibility

Admission to PG Diploma in Biotechnology is for candidates holding a B.Sc. degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Bio-Chemistry.

For PG Diploma in Computer Application, candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized Indian university.

Several PG Diploma programs, including Marketing and Sales Management, Customer Service Management, Tourism and Travel Management, Beauty and Health Care, Advertising and Public Relation, Fashion Technology, Mass Communication, Computer Hardware and Networking, Web Designing, Accountancy with Computerized Account and Taxation, and Retail Management, are open to graduates from any stream.

The PG Diploma in Information Technology is designed for candidates who have already completed a Diploma in Engineering in any branch.

Other Specialized Courses

The Post Diploma in Industry Safety is for candidates holding a B.E. / B.Tech degree with 2 years of experience, or a Diploma in Engineering with 5 years of experience.
